Van Wert Times Bulletin, 2 Oct. 1979
Emery G. Swygart, 74, of 516 S.Shannon St., died at 4:25pm, Monday, in 
Lincolnway Home.  
He was born Oct. 28, 1904, in Elgin, a son of William F. and Osie (Hughes) 
Swygart.  
Survivors include his widow, the former Frances Crider, whom he married April 
24, 1929, a son, and two daughters, a brother, Edwin Swygart of Venedocia, a 
sister, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death, was a sister.
Mr. Swygart was retired employee of Baldwin-Lima Hamilton Co. and a retired 
farmer.  he was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church in Venedocia.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Thursday, in W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral 
Home, Mendon, with the Rev. Von F. Geissler officicating.  Burial will be at 
Tomlinson Cemetery, Rockford.
Friends may call from 6-9pm,Wednesday, in the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to the Van Wert County Council on Aging.
