He was 33 years old and had served in World War II. He was living with his mother at the time. He apparently hit a rough patch of road with his cycle which sent him into the path of the automobile. He was thrown from the cycle with his skull crushed, and his body badly bruised and mangled. A physican was called and Pearl was taken to his home in Prattsville, later to Zaleski and then to Chillicothe by the B & O Railway. He died on the way to Chillicothe. He was survived by his father and mother, one brother and two sisters. Burial was in the Prattsville cemetery, Prattsville, Vinton County, Ohio Additional Comments: According to his service record he was born in Elko, Vinton County, Ohio. His parents were John and Eliza Ann (Caldwell) Allman. The surviving siblings were sisters Addie,and Martha, brother Nathan, and half brother Elmer. He was preceded in death by his brother John and sister Hattie.
