Nutt and Miss A.G. Potter of Dayton who were on their way to Albany. The accident happened on the hill,a short distance east of the home of Albert Pearse. Apparently there was a rough place in the road that changed the course of the motor cycle, which crashed into the car causing it to turn over and threw out the occupants. Albert Pearse and Harley Sims who were standing at the side of the road near Mr Pearse's home, heard the crash when the accident occured. They rushed to the scene and found Allman lying on the road under his motorcycle. His skull was crushed, his face and body horribly mangled and bruised. Dr. James was called and Allman was taken to his home at Prattsville. He was later taken to Zaleski and from there over the B & O to Chillicothe, where he was taken to the hospital, but he died just after reaching Chillicothe. Mr. Nutt and Miss Poitter the occupants of the car did not have any serious injuries. Miss Potter had a dislocated shoulder, which Dr. James attended to and after remaining here over night at the Will Housecontinued on their way Monday in their car which had been repaired at the Martindill Bros garage. Pearl Allman, victim of the accident was a World War ! Soldier and served over seas. He lefton October 2, 1917 and mustered into the service at Camp Sherman and served throughout the war.After his discharge from the army he had lived with his mother in Prattsville. He was 33 years old. Surviving are his father and mother, one brother and two sisters.Funeral services were held in the Church at Prattsville, Tuesday at 1:30p.m. conducted by Rev. Moore. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Zaleski. His associates of the Zaleski Post were the pallbearers. Burial was in the Prattsville Cemetery.
