Athens Messenger Newspaper found at McArthur Public Library, Vinton County. Ohio
Guileford M. Atkinson, aged 79 of North Street died on February 13, 1995 at 
the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio. His home had been at 79 North 
Street, McArthur, Ohio.He was the son of Orville and Opal Mace Atkinson and 
was born in Zaleski, Ohio on May 14, 1915.

His survivors were his wife Genevieve L. (Taylor) Akinson,also 2 daughters   
Captolia and Robert Tripp of Logan, and  Carol Ann Akers of Plain City, as 
well as  his stepmother Merle Atkinson of Wellston, 9 grandchildren and 8 
great grandchildren.

Burial was in the Elk Cemetery, McArthur, Vinton County, Ohio.

Additional Comments:
His wife was Genevive L. Taylor Atkinson. She was the daughter of Sylvester 
and Lena Hall Taylor. In her obituary (June 1999) the daughter Captolia was 
living in Pennsylvania.
