 Vinton County Newspaper McArthur Democrat Enquirer January 28,


Thomas Wren Bobo was born July 30, 1838 at McArthur, Vinton county, Ohio He 
died on January 22, 1892 at the age of   53 years, 5 months and 23 days. He ha 
been ill with a lung fever for about 3 weeks.

 He was a member of  the Church of Christ at Bethel Church under the Elder 
Harkins,and was baptised by the same in October 1889. He was married to Mary E.
Jacobs, April 15, 1864 in Lima, Ohio. To this marriage was born two sons and
three daughters, all of whom with the mother survive.

 The deceased was born in McArthur where he has always lived
except for a few years in Indiana. He served in the Union army during theCivil 
War  but  never obtained a pension although he had a claim pending for several 
years. The funeral took place on Sunday at the Bethel Church of Christ with   
Rev. Angel officiating.
