"DOWD- At his home, in McArthur, Ohio on Sunday afternoon, December 17, 1876 at
4 o'clock, Alexander C. Dowd aged 45 years.

The deceased was the oldest son of Owen Dowd, merchant of McArthur and was born
in this county in 1831, where he resided during his lifetime. He leaves a wife,
(a daughter of Henry Reynolds) and six chidlren to mourn his untimely death.

His funeral took place on Tuesday December 19. Services were conduced by Rev R.
Morgan."

Additional Comments:
His wife was Harriett Reynolds. I know 5 of the  six children Mahala, Rose,
Owen, Henry, Thomas
