M'arthur Democrat. (McArthur, Vinton County, Ohio) 1853-1865: October 11, 1855
At Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, on the 9th inst., Mr. Samuel Martindill, aged 21
years; late a resident of Vinton county. We had no personal acquaintance with the
deceased, but are informed that he was a young gentleman of promise, and that he was
an industrious student the qualification so characteristic of the students of this
college, to make a perfect scholar. He was a member of the Athenian Society. The
committee of his society, and a number of his fellow students, attended the corps to
its final resting place. May his fellow students emulate his virtues.
