Penn Harry Wayne Penn, 59, of Bainbridge, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003 at the Chillicothe V.A. Medical Center. He was born Nov. 7, 1943 in Highland County, the son of Harry H. Penn and Hilda (Shaw) Penn. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a former employee of Collins Meat Packing of Greenfield. He is survived by his wife, Vilma Jean (Gragg) Penn, whom he married on July 11, 1966; three sons, Ronald Wayne and Lisa Penn of Greenfield, Richard Alan and Michelle Penn of Greenfield, Dwayne Eugene and Mary Penn of Greenfield; seven grandchildren, Austin, Aryan, Davan, Angie, Tosha, Jade and Tessa; and mother-in-law, Edna Wesley of Latham. He was preceded in death by a sister, Erma Hamilton and both parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at the Murray- Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield. The Rev. Mark Click will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery, where military rites will be performed by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, with veterans appreciation services to be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Penn family at the Murray- Fettro home to help defray expenses.
