Keplinger Mrs. Iris Mae Storts Keplinger, 56, 358 South st., died Thursday at 4 p.m. in Chillicothe Hospital. Born June 16, 1913 in South Salem, she was a daughter of Ira and Myrtle Cokonougher Storts. On June 3, 1933, she married Virgil Keplinger, who survives. Mrs. Keplinger operated a Certified Public Accountant office at her home, and was also an insurance agent. She organized the Camp Fire Girls here in 1962, and was very active in the organization. She graduated from Zanesville High school in 1930, and was a graduate of Zanesville Business School. She was a member of First Presbyterian church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Charles Wayne Keplinger, of Cincinnati; two daughters, Iris Marie and Tonita Jan Keplinger, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Donald Leach, of Leesburg; two brothers, Ray Storts, of Lyndon, and Ralph Storts, of Zanesville, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Virgil Dean Keplinger, who died Feb. 12, 1968, a sister and four brothers. Last rites will be read Monday at 2 p.m. in the Murray funeral home with Rev. Clair S. Emerick officiating. Interment will be made in Greenfield Cemetery. Friends will be received at Murray's after 11 a.m., Sunday. Additional Comments: Maiden name - Iris Mae Storts. The parents of Iris's mother, (Provy) Myrtle (Cokonougher) Storts, were Zachariah Cokonougher and Mary Elizabeth (Wisecup) (Cokonougher) Cox. The parents of Zachariah Cokonougher were Adtson Cokonougher and Elizabeth (Shoemaker) Cokonougher. The parents of Mary Cox were Joseph Wisecup and Phoebe (Frost) Wisecup. Cokonougher rcokon@ hotmail.com January 20, 2004, 4:08 pm Greenfield Daily Times of Greenfield, Ohio Mrs. Myrtle Beechler Mrs Myrtle Marie Beechler, 47, wife of Walter Beechler, Lyndon Rt. 1, died Saturday at 11:05 p.m. in Greenfield Municipal Hospital. She suffered a stroke about 8 o'clock that evening while visiting in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Grimsley, 322 Mirabeau st. She had been discharged from the hospital last Tuesday after a week's hospitalization. Born at Rock Mills March 16, 1907, she was a daughter of Mrs. Bessie Carman and the late Wilbur Carman and passed most of her life in this community. In addition to her husband and mother, she leaves nine children; Edward Hamilton, of Washington C. H.; Mrs. Grimsley; Wilbur Storts, U.S. Army, Ft. Devens, Mass.; Phyllis Storts, of Xenia; Ray Storts, Frankfort; and James, Carolyn, Rita and Michael Beechler, all at home; and a sister and three brothers: Mrs. Audra Puckett and Theodore Carman, of Greenfield; Robert, of Columbus, and Kenneth, of Dayton. Mrs. Beechler was a member of the United Brethren church. Service will be read by Rev. Frank Milner Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Strueve funeral home, with interment in South Salem cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Additional Comments: Maiden name - Myrtle Carman. Sorry,I didn't have the exact date of the paper and death. This obituary is from an old newspaper clipping of my mother, and it didn't have the dates written on it. The parents of Myrtle's mother, Bessie Agnes (Hollar) Carman 1887-1980, were George Freeland Hollar 1855-1936, and Alice Oretta (Miller) Hollar 1869- 1936. The parents of George Freeland Hollar were Gibbeon Hollar and Sarah (Hester) Hollar. The parents of Alice Oretta (Miller) Hollar were Thomas Garland Miller 1826- 1869 and Nancy Agnes (Hixson) Miller 1830-1905. The parents of Myrtle's father, William "Wilbur" C. Carman 1879-1954, were William Carman and Lydia Roff.
