The address was made by Dr. J.C. Taggart. The pall-bearers were as follows: Messrs Matthew Andrews, Harvey Davidson, Harry Gaston, Robert Hill, J.W. Moore, and William Anderson. The following out of town relatives attended the funeral: Mrs. Dr. Hamilton, of Georgetown; Miss Mary Harvey, of Wellsburg; Miss Adessa Harvey, of Wellsville; and Miss Sue Blythe of Beaver. Rev. Father Smythe celebrated requiem high mass, and a large congregation attended the obsequies. Mrs. McCann was a resident of this city for many years, and was connected by marriage with the Darrahs, McNicols, and other of the older Irish families of the city. She was born in County Antrim, Ireland, in 1830. Interment took place at St. Aloysius cemetery. A large procession of friends followed the remains to the tomb. Hole, at Damascus, on Tuesday, at the age of 101. The deceased was one of the best known and most highly esteemed women in this neighborhood. About a year ago, when she was visited and personally congratulated by a multitude of people. Mrs. Hole was born at Bedford county, Va., in 1794, but lived at Damascus during the most of her long life. She retained her faculties to a surprising degree to the last. He had been a resident of Washington Township for over fifty years. He had never been married and made his home with a single sister. For several years he followed the butchering business, but of late years he devoted his time to making brooms and looking after his farm on Tidball run. The funeral was held at 10:30 o’clock, Wednesday, services being held at the United Presbyterian church and conducted by Rev. Barrackman. Interment in Woodland cemetery. Mackintosh, father of D.A. Mackintosh, of this city, died suddenly yesterday noon, at the residence of the latter, in this city. Deceased was in his 84th year, and has been poorly in health for several weeks. He was born in Inverness, Scotland, but came to America with his parents, and settled in Columbiana county when he was but five or six years old. This county has been his home ever since. He removed about two years since from the old homestead in Wayne township, to his son’s in this city, where he has since made his home. He leaves five children, two sons and three daughters. He had been married twice, hs first wife was a Miss Johns and of this union he leaves one son, John, the engineer of the "bobby" the local switching engine. His second wife was Mrs. Bell, a widow. Mrs. Ketchum left three sisters and one brother, viz: Mrs. Isaac Burlingame, this city; Mrs. R.D. Mytinger, Rogers,; Mrs. Samantha Woolam, Fredericktown; and Samuel Trippy, of Rogers. Smith, died at their home in the Diamond after an illness of three weeks from typhoid fever. Deceased was 27 years old on May 3 last. She was the only child of Mr. And Mrs. E.B. Childs, of Wooster. She came her with her husband from Wooster last April. Besides her husband she leaves a daughter – Pauline, four months old. The parents of the deceased and those of her husband were present at the bedside when she died. Services were held over the remains at the home Thursday afternoon, Dr. John Lloyd Lee officiating. The body was taken on the 3:47 p.m. train west to Wooster for burial. The funeral will take place there Saturday. Deceased has been an invalid for upwards of two years, and her death was not unexpected. The immediate cause of death was septicaemia. When the end came she was surrounded by all of her immediate relatives. Mrs. Green was 49 years of age. She was born in Monroeville, Jefferson county, and has been a resident of this city for 19 years. She formerly resided in Salineville, where her father, one sister and two brothers still live. Deceased leaves three sons living. They are Harry C., of this city; Charles C., assistant county treasurer, and Robert G., of Lisbon. Besides the father three brothers and two sisters survive – Frank L. Potts, of this city, and William and James Potts, of Salineville; also two sisters – Mrs. R. Starkey, of this city, and Miss Nellie Potts, of Salineville. Funeral services will occur at residence Sunday evening at 6:30, Rev. J.M. Huston officiating. The remains will be taken to Salineville for interment Monday morning.
