Mrs. Hill was born in Rockport, NY., Feb 9, 1840 and came to Medina when 16 years of age, the balance of her 76 years of life having been spent in this community. The husband departed this life about 5 years ago. The deceased is survived by three sons, George of Nebraska, John of Denver, Fred of Toledo, and three daughters, Mrs. Geo. [Hattie] Musch and Mrs. Jos. [Dorothy] Schlaubach [Slabaugh] of Medina and Mrs. Geo. [Katherine] Kane [Kenyon] of Mallet Creek. The funeral was held from the home of Mrs. Musch, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. S.F. Dimmock of the Baptist church. Burial in Spring Grove cemetery. She was 77 years of age and the widow of the late John Hill. The remains were brought to Medina and funeral services held Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. George Musch, a daughter, conducted by Rev. S.F. Dimmock. Mr. Hill had been sick with grip about two weeks and on last Saturday suffered a paralytic stroke. He was 74 years old. The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 o'clock at the home of Geo. Musch. Hill was born Dec. 25, 1836, in New York state, and died at the home of Geo. Musch in Medina, May 12, 1911, aged 74 years, 4 months, 17 days. He came to Medina with his parents, Richard Hill and wife, when two years of age and had resided in Medina since. He was united in marriage to Frances [McIntyre] Lewis Nov. 26, 1861. She survives him at the age of 72 years. To this union were born 10, five of whom are living, John E. [D] of Denver, Colo.; Fred C. of Alliance; Katie, Hattie and Dottie of Medina. Three girls and two boys have died, Cora, Gracie, Bert, Harry and Dima. Besides his wife and children, he leaves 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral services took place at the home Sunday, May 14, at 2 p.m. being in charge of Rev. E.S. Collier. The interment was at Spring Grove Cemetery.
