CLARENCE A. "GABE" BRILL CLARENCE A. "GABE" BRILL, 62, of Columbus passed away at 7:25 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, 2004 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus. He was born in Columbus on June 20, 1942 to RAYMOND and ZONA CLEVENGER BRILL. He was previously of Jeffersonville. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He retired as a driver with Roadway Express in 2002. He was a member of Eagles Lodge #423 of Washington C.H., Amvets, and Southway Post #144, American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: JOHN, MARVIN, RONALD, and HARVEY BRILL. He is survived by his son, WADE (DIANE) BRILL of Wooster; daughter, AUDRA (BRIAN) EVERHART of Springfield; brothers, JACK (MARY) BRILL of Mount Sterling, ROBERT BRILL of Washington C.H., and RAYMOND (SANDRA) BRILL of Gilmer, Texas; sisters, CONNIE FARMER of Washington C.H., GRACE DUNCAN of Alexandria, and LINDA (JIM) BONHAM of Washington C.H. GEORGE R. BARBER GEORGE R. BARBER, 81, of Leesburg, died at his residence on Friday, July 16, 2004. He was born in Fleming County, Ky. on January 22, 1923, the son of the late ARTHUR and MARY ETTA PIERCE BARBER. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, TERRY ANN BARBER, brothers JOHN and FLOYD BARBER, and a sister, ELECTA ROLFE. He was a retired farmer, served in the Army during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the DAV and a former member of the Fayette County VFW.
