Loa was born Feb 23, 1896 in Defiance County to Ura and Emma (Miller) Morris, she was the widow of Elmer Chaney, who died in 1953. She was a member of the West Milford Church of Christ. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Heffelfinger, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Final rites, with Rev. George Font officiating, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Perkins & Reeb Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville, Defiance County, Ohio. We just lived down the road from them (3 houses between us) at the time. Grandpa had served in the US Navy during WWII, aboard the USS LEARY in the Pacific Theater.
