Dickinson, Enoch age 68 died June 12, 1928 Chauncey Father: Russell Dickinson Mother: Hettie Holcomb Buried: None listed PARALYSIS IS FATAL TO MAN IN CHAUNCEY Enoch Dickerson, 70, Dies Late Tuesday Night CHAUNCEY, June 14 -- Enoch Dickerson, 70, died at his home in this city Tuesday evening at 11:30 o'clock. His death was due to paralysis from which he had suffered a third stroke several weeks ago. Funeral services will be held Friday, conducted by the Rev. N. O. Warren. Burial will be in the Nye cemetery in this city. Mr. Dickerson leaves a widow and three sons: Edgar Dickerson of Eastern Ohio, Thomas Dickerson and Emmett Dickerson of this city. He also leaves two sisters. Mr. Dickerson had been a resident of Chauncey and vicinity for several years. This funeral home was once C.L. Stout Funeral Home. Obituary of Elizabeth (Miller) Dickerson Elizabeth Dickerson last rites are held in Chauncey July 22, 1930 The Rev. G. B. Courtney of the Church of Christ conducted the funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Miller Dickerson age 70, Monday morning at 10 o'clock. The church trio sang three hymns. Burial was made in the Nye Cemetery in this city. Mrs. Dickerson died suddenly last Friday evening at the home of her sister Mrs. Anna Hartley in Vinton county where she had gone a week ago for a few days visit. Her body was brought to Chauncey and taken to the home of her son Emmett Dickerson, with whom she had been residing since the death of her husband Enoch Dickerson two years ago. Mrs. Dickerson was the mother of nine children, six having preceded her in death. The children surviving are: Thomas and Emmett of Chauncey and Edgar of Dun Glen. The death victim was Emmett Dickerson, 48, who died in Sheltering Arms Hospital at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, three hours and five minutes after the accident. He suffered a crushed chest and a broken right leg. Suffering apparently minor injuries was his buddy, Lester Locke. Locke was taken to his home in Morristown. Mr. Dickerson was the last of a family of nine children. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Simmers, Chauncey, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Betty Palmer, Cleveland; also, one son, Jack Dickerson, Norfolk, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Chauncey Methodist Church, by the Rev. Gilbert Courtney. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.
