She died the 29 June in Williams Co., Ohio, of a high fever. For 5 years she was afflicted with rheumatism, through which she lost the use of a leg, and must walk with a crutch; still she joined her brothers and sisters each Sunday, until 2 weeks before her death, where she beseeched God with fervor, soon to remove her crutch and to go home to her peace. She leaves behind 3 minor children, as forsaken orphans in this world. G. M. Hertel. About 37 years before she was baptized, and joined the Evangelical Communion and was firm and steadfast in her belief. Her illness, cancer of the breast, she bore with courage; in her suffering she was an example to the young. 2 brothers and 2 sisters greatly miss her presence. The Lord comfort their sorrow! (Her death date was not given, so I simply entered the date of the newspaper article; clearly, she died a short time before that.) J. Frankhauser.
