The remains were bought to this village Wednesday morning and laid to rest in the village cemetery. The funeral was held from the Congregational church. Signs is survived by his widow and a daughter, Blanche, who resides in Norwalk, three sons, Lawrence of Huron, Elmer of Massilon, and Z.T. of Oklahoma Territory and a brother, Daniel Signs of N. The Rev. Virgil Frederick, of the Church of Christ, Clyde, will officiate. Burial will be in North Fairfield, Ohio, former home of the deceased. Survivors include two other sons, Zachariah, of Plato, Mo. and Elmer, of Milan, and nine grandchildren. A daughter died in 1930. Mrs. Signs was born January 1, 1861, in Michigan, a daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth Dennison Smith. She married William Signs, February 7, 1878. He died in 1921. Mrs. Signs moved to Clyde seven years ago. She was a member of the Universalist church of Bairdstown, Ohio. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Fiser Funeral Home for Mrs. Emaline Signs, 76, who died Monday afternoon. Rev. V.B.Frederick officiated and the body was taken to North Fairfield for burial. Mrs. Signs passed away at the home of her son, Lawrence Signs on Cherry street about 5 o'clock after a long illness. She was the widow of William Signs who died 16 years ago. She was born in Michigan, January 1, 1861, the daughter of Jesse M. and Elizabeth Dennison Smith. She is survived by three sons, Zachariah of Missouri, Elmer of Milan, and Lawrence of Clyde. A daughter Estel Blanche preceded her mother in death in October of 1936. Neff ffen@zoominternet.net June 21, 2005, 6:26 am Mahoning Dispatch, Fri, 28 June 1901 Transcribed by Jennifer Neff, 5 June 2005 Isaac Corll died unexpectedly at his home, 1 ˝ miles north of the village, last Sunday afternoon. He was seated on his front porch talking to John Sanzenbacher shortly after 2 o’clock when his head suddenly dropped forward and Mr. Sanzenbacher caught him and saved him from falling from his chair. Death came before any member of his family could be called. Mr. Corll had been troubled with neuralgia of the stomach for some time and it is supposed it went to his heart. The deceased was a native of Canfield, having been born in the northeastern part of this township 70 years ago. He followed farming all his life and earned the reputation of being one of the best and most successful farmers in this section. He was an honest upright man and had many friends. His wife died 23 years ago. He leaves six children – Mrs. Julia Mittler of Beaver Falls, Mrs. Morse of Austintown township, Mrs. Mary Rothgeb, Mrs. D.L. Sanzenbacher, Sherman and Henry Corll of Canfield – and one brother, Gideon Corll of North Jackson. Funeral services Tuesday afternoon at the Zion Reformed church, of which the deceased had long been a member, were conducted by Rev. J.C. Schaaf.
