LETT, 86. Mrs. Emma O'Farrell Lett, 86, widow of William Lett, died Wednesday at her home in Dayton, Ohio. She had been in failing health for several months. Mrs. Lett was the foster daughter of the late, Ambrose and Elizabeth Mattingly, and lived at the Mattingly Settlement, north of Zanesville, until her marriage. Her husband died in 1947. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and a grand-niece Mrs. Maurice Mattingly of Taylor street, this city. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Lett was born in Jacksonburg, O., but had lived in Dayton most of his life. He operated a sheet-metal shop there from 1914 until 1937 when he retired. He was a member of the Sacred Heart church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Lett was known in this city where he had frequently visited. Surviving besides his widow are two brothers, David of Dayton and John of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Farquar of Trotwood, O., and Mrs. Agnes Ringemas of Cincinnati, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday in Dayton with burial in Calvary cemetery there. Lett and Miss Emma O'Farrell at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mattingly Settlement yesterday morning at 9 o'clock was a social event of interest. Fr. Cush of Dresden, pronounced the ords which made the popular young people one, assisted by Fr. Ross, of Coshocton, and Fr. Jerome Mattingly of Athens. The bride is the adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Mattingly and is a charming young lady. The groom is an employee of the Dayton bicycle works and a popular young man. The attendants at the wedding were Mr. John Mattingly and Miss Anna Devol. The church was finely decorated and presented a very pretty appearance. The presents were numerous and costly, amoung which were the following: John O'Farrell, silver water set; Mr. and Mrs George Fox, toilet set; Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Mattingly, table linen; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Fox, bread and fruit knife; Maggie Fox, hand-painted throw; Anna Fox, prairie tile............
