Watson, 69, of Greenfield, died Friday, July 30, 2004 at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus. She was born January 29, 1935 in South Salem (sic Ross County, Ohio), to the late HAROLD HESTER and NORA (SPURGEON) HESTER. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. She was formerly employed at American Pad and Textile Co. and Collins Packing Co. in Greenfield. She was a member of Eagles Ladies Auxillary and was an avid bingo player. She married RICHARD A. WATSON, who survives, on Aug. 26, 1967. Also surviving are six children, RICHARD L. (SUE) WATSON, GARY W. WATSON, RALPH C. PUMMELL and ROBERT (KAREN) HESTER, all of Greenfield, LENA SUE PUMMELL, of Waverly, and CINDY SMITH of Chillicothe; six sisters, RUTH CHEATWOOD, of Chillicothe, VIOLET KOCH, of Waverly, MARY KINGERY, of Circleville, ELIZABETH HAYDEN, of Cincinnati, JANET PAULEY, of Greenfield, and VIOLA CASSIDY, of Washington C.H.; four brothers, DWIGHT HESTER, of Chillicothe, LAWRENCE HESTER, of Bainbridge, WARREN HESTER, of Leesburg, and GARY HESTER, of Columbus; 20 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3 at Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home in Greenfield. Officiating will be the Rev. Jerry McConnaughey and the Rev. Robert Chroninger. Burial will be at the Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on today.
