Miller, 74, of 7070 Good Hope Road, Frankfort, died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday, May 18 in St. Luke Convalescent Center, Washington C.H. A retired farmer, Mr. Miller was born Dec. 25, 1911 in Ross County. He was the son of Joseph Albert and Vada Belle Harper Miller. On Oct. 14, 1934, he married Georgia Bell Kimmey who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Anna Lee) Starr of Washington C.H. and Mrs. Don (Sue) Sever of Frankfort; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Olive Parker and Mrs. Ida Stuckey, both of Greenfield, Mrs. Thelma Hudnell and Mrs. Bernice Cockerill both of Leesburg, and Mrs. Marie Cockerill of Frankfort; two brothers, Wesley Miller of Leesburg and Orville 'Happy' Miller of Bainbridge. A graduate of Ohio University, she was a Jennings Scholar; a former member of the Buckskin Board of Education; an FHA Advisor at Adena; and a member of the Adena Teachers Association. On January 30, 1942, she married WENDELL LAUDERMAN, who survives. Pummell, 83, of Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001 at the Edgewood Manor in Greenfield. He was born March 31, 1917 in Highland County to HARLEY PUMMELL and LENA (MCNEIL) PUMMELL. He was an avid sports fan at McClain High School for 65 years. The Tiger Booster Club awarded him the Number 1 Hall of Fame Award in 1981 for his outstanding support of McClain athletics. He was also a coach for girl's softball and Little League having won several trophies. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked for several years as the city superintendent of streets in Houston, Texas. Then he was an engineer working at the old power plant in Greenfield, and retired from the Greenfield Cemetery. He is survived by son, WILLIAM CARL PUMMELL, of Houston, Texas; grandson, WILLIAM PUMMELL II, of Houston, Texas, two step-daughters, CHARLOTTE EASTER and WANDA SORRELL, both of Greenfield; brother, JOHN PUMMELL, of Greenfield, sister, SARAH BEST, of Fayette County, brother-in-law, JAMES BEST, of Fayette County; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, RALPH SAM PUMMELL, sisters, BETTY FITE, and DOROTHY KINNISON; niece, LAURA LOUISE KINNISON.
