CECIL G. CAUDY, 86, Williamsport, died Jan. 13 in his residence. Born Mar. 31, 1901 in Pickaway County, he was a son of JOHN CAUDY and MARY ANN GEESLING CAUDY. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Christian Church at Five Points. Survivors include five sons and three daughters-in-law, RUSSELL and DOROTHY of Pickerington, DONALD and CHRIS, Columbus, PAUL and ROBERTA, Mt. Sterling, FRANCIS of Williamsport, DARRELL, Florida; daughter, MARGIE EGGLESTON of Pennsylvania; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, VIRGIL S. CAUDY of Troy. He was preceded in death by his wife, FLORENCE CAUDY, 1973. Funeral service was Jan. 16 in the Porter Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling with Rev. Melvin R. Ritts officiating. Interment followed in Darbyville Cemetery. He was a machinist and lifetime member of AMVETS Post 2256, Circleville. Survivors are his mother and stepfather, ETHEL and FRANK HOMER, Mt. Sterling; daughter, CATHIE WEINHOLD, Bowmansville, PA; son, MICHAEL COCHENOUR, Lancaster, PA; five grandchildren; sister, ALICE SIMS, Kingston; two aunts; nieces and nephews. No service was held. JOHN A. COKONOUGHER, 42, of 340 Mirabeau St., Greenfield, died 8:12 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 1987 at Grant Hospital in Columbus. Born September 3, 1944 in Fayette County, he was the son of JAY A. COKONOUGHER and DOTT NEVIN COKONOUGHER, both of whom survive. Other survivors include two brothers, JAMES J. COKONOUGHER and LARRY D. COKONOUGHER, both of Greenfield; four sisters, Mrs. ROD (SUSAN) HIESTAND of Mason, Ohio, Mrs. CHUB (JEAN) GODDARD of Greenfield; JOELLEN COKONOUGHER of Greenfield, and Mrs. DENNIS (CAROL) ORNER of Coppell, Texas. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, RONALD COKONOUGHER, on Sept. 16, 1944. He was a co-owner of Wiseman Auto and Truck of Greenfield, was a member of the Greenfield Eagles Lodge, and was a member of the East Monroe United Methodist Church. Service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Murray Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in South Salem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Heart Association, P.O. Box 363, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
