Nave, 51 years old, the wife of H. V. Nave of Sutton Avenue, Mt. Washington, died at her home on Friday night. She had been ill with heart trouble for several months. Besides her husband, Mrs. Nave is survived by two daughters, Miss Elizabeth M. Nave of Hamlet, N. C. and Miss Dorothy Nave, who lives at her parents home. Funeral services will be held at the residence on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery. WILSON DIED SUDDENLY ON THURSDAY Willis C. Wilson, fell dead at his home on Lisbon street at nine o’clock Thursday morning. He had eaten breakfast, apparently as well as usual and was dressing to go to Youngstown, having his trousers part way on when he suddenly collapsed and was dead when his wife reached his side. Death was due to heart failure although for some time he had been troubled with high blood pressure. Deceased was born in Mineral Ridge Nov. 13, 1865, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson, but most of his life was spent in Canfield, the family coming here when he was quite young. He attended the local schools and was first graduate of the commercial department of the North-Eastern Ohio Normal College. Following graduation he for several years taught school in Austintown and Canfield townships. Later he opened a meat market in Canfield which he successfully conducted several years, then becoming the first rural mail carrier on route No. 2 out of the local post office, serving more than 15 years. For a considerable time he was field representative of the Dispatch. In recent years he was in the insurance business and engaged in the preparation of legal documents. Mr. Wilson was twice married, his first wife being Miss Sadie Beardsley, who died in 1909, leaving three children. Wilbur died some years ago. Survivors are Earl Wilson, Akron, and Mrs. Clarence Webber, Youngstown. Aug. 20, 1919, he was married to Miss Delia Crawford, who survives, with two sisters, Mrs. C.H. Hine and Mrs. G.D. Kimmel, both of Canfield, and a brother, C.J. Wilson, of Niles, Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. L.P. McCulloch, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be in the village cemetery. Burial – 25 Feb 1933 in Section B Row 4 Dean Hill Cemetery, Canfield Tp, Mahoning Co. Wilson] 3 Mar 1841 to 19 July 1923 82y 4m 16d Mahoning Dispatch, Fri, 27 July 1923 Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Wilson, aged 82, widow of Robert M. Wilson, died last Thursday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.H. Hine, west of the village, after a long illness. She was born in Austintown township March 3, 1841, a daughter of Joseph and Lena Troxell Maurer and resided in Austintown and Canfield all her long and useful life. She was an excellent woman and had endeared herself to a wide circle of friends. She was married April 28, 1859, to Robert M. Wilson who passed away several years since. Four children survive, Mrs. Hine, at whose home she died, W.C. Wilson and Mrs. G.D. Kimmel, Canfield; and Mrs. William Pennell, Austintown township. Funeral services held from the Hine home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 were conducted by Rev. W.P. Hollister, pastor of the Presbyterian church, of which the deceased was long an active and devoted member. The remains were laid away in the village cemetery mausoleum. On 20 Apr 1829 John made his first land purchase in the U.S. Between 1829 and 1845 he bought and sold many land parcels in the Canfield area. John and Jane Trimble Wilson had seven children, Hugh, Catherine, Robert M., William G., Margaret E., Chauncey M. and Mary A. The oldest child, Hugh, was born c1827 and the place of his birth is unknown. The rest of the children were born in the Dublin area - a small Scotch-Irish settlement at Leffingwell & Rt 62, southwest of Canfield.
