Birth reported by Walter T. Tinker on 31 March 1901. Additional Comments: Amelia Irene Miller was my grandmother. She never had a copy of her birth certificate until she obtained one in order to apply for social security. Her family had told her that she was born on July 21, 1900, so she had always celebrated her birthday on the 21st. She was very much surprised and chagrined to find out that she had been celebrating her birthday on the wrong day for her whole life. However, I notice that the birth wasn't reported until 31 March 1901, more than eight months afterwards. It was reported by someone who wasn't a member of the family, probably the doctor. I wonder if the person who reported the birth could have gotten the dates confused, due to the time lag, and reported the wrong date. Amelia married John Henry Cokonougher. The parents of Etta Miller (sic Henrietta Emelia Miller) were Henry Steinmetz and Helen (Barleon) Steinmetz. The parents of George Miller were Thomas G. Miller and Nancy A. (Hixson) Miller.
