He was born in Concord Township, Fayette County, on Jan. 26, 1935, the son of STACE ANDERS and CLARICE BEVERLY ANDERS. He had retired from International Harvester and later was associated with Sabina Farmers' Exchange. He was a member of the Sabina United Methodist Church and graduated from Sabina High School in 1953. Surviving is one son, JAMES S. ANDERS of Wilmington; one grandson, JAMES M. ANDERS of New Holland; two sisters, LEONA ELLIS and LOUISE WILLIAMS of Sabina; two brothers, THOMAS and RICHARD ANDERS of Sabina. One sister, GERALDINE ARMSTRONG, preceded in death. She was born March 23, 1913 in Fayette County, the daughter of GEORGE ANDERS and NELLIE JOHNSON ANDERS. On Nov. 5, 1928 she married ROBERT T. RINEHART and he preceded her in death in 1994. Surviving are daughters, ESTHER (KENNETH) DUNCAN of Washington C.H., WANDA (BILL) HALL, of Jeffersonville and DEBORAH REED of Sarasota, Fla.; three sons, ROBERT WAYNE "BUD" of Milledgeville, DENNETH DALE (KAY) of Jeffersonville and DANIEL LEE (SANDRA) RINEHART of Upland, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; one sister, MARY LEWIS of Mansfield and a special niece, JUANITA NEWSOME of Xenia. She was a member of the Octa House of Prayer. In addition to being a homemaker, she was also a nursing assistant. Two sisters, RUBY LANDRUM and DONNA DAMRON, preceded her in death. HOBERT C. CASSIDY HOBERT CLINTON CASSIDY of Washington C.H., died at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002 in his home. He was born May 9, 1928 in Pike County, Ohio, to ERNEST CASSIDY and BERTHA (COOK) CASSIDY. He is survived by his wife VIOLA (HESTER) (COKONOUGHER) CASSIDY, whom he married Oct. 4, 1996. Also surviving are two step-sons, RALPH COKONOUGHER of Logan, and CLIFFORD COKONOUGHER of Bainbridge, Ohio; two step-daughters, JUDY WICAL of Washington C.H., and SHIRLEY DAVIS of Greenfield; 15 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great- grandchildren; one brother, ALLEN CASSIDY of Washington C.H.; one sister and brother-in-law, SHIRLEY and WILLIAM SMITH of Washington C.H., and several nieces and nephews. Additional Comments: Additional Comments: Hobert was partially deaf due to a childhood accident. He received very little formal education, due to his handicap, but was a man of intelligence. He was well liked by his friends and community, and loved sports. Hobert died of lung cancer. He had been a heavy smoker for most of his life. Death resulted from heart trouble after an illness lasting 10 months. Cunningham had been prominent in theatricals in Lima for many years, having served as manager of the Faurot Opera House for almost 20 years. He was born in Lima, August 25, 1866, the son of Theodore and Elizabeth Cunningham. His father was one of the early settlers of Allen-co and a prominent Ohio lawyer. Following his graduation from Lima high school, Lou Cunningham became associated with the Buckeye Pipe Line Co., and later went to Toledo where he served in the Internal Revenue department. In 1900 he returned to Lima and took over the management of the Faurot Opera House, which at that time was one of the most popular legitimate houses in northwest Ohio. Cunningham was a life member of the Elks Lodge. Besides his brother Harold, with whom he had resided for 25 years, he leaves two other brothers, Thomas N., Lakewood avenue and Theodore E., Evanston, Ill. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Samuel Heucker, pastor of Market-st Presbyterian church will officiate. While out on the lake a sudden storm came up, capsizing the boat and all aboard were drowned. Dr. Irwin was well known in Lima. His wife was a former Lima girl, Mary Meily Irwin, who died several years ago. One daughter, Helen, now in New York, survives, and Mrs. I. S. Motter, W. Spring-st. is a sister-in-law. While no arrangements for the funeral have been announced, it is expected the body will be brought here for burial beside his wife, in Woodlawn. Dr. Irwin was about 70 years of age.
