C. Ray Storts, 80, Route 1, Lyndon, a retired principal in the Chillicothe School System, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday in the Barbara Park Nursing Home, Middletown. He had been ill two years. His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Murray Funeral Home, Greenfield, with the Rev. Clair Emerick officiating. Burial will follow in South Salem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday. The retired school teacher had taught at Lower Twin School, in the Greenfield schools and at the night school at the former Federal Reformatory in Chillicothe. A native of South Salem, he was born Sept. 16, 1896, to Ira Storts and Myrtle COKONOUGHER Storts. On Dec. 31, 1916, he was married to the former Elsie Ulen who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Loyd, Fullerton, Calif., and Lewis, Route 3, Greenfield; three daughters, Mrs. Eloise McDonald, Chillicothe, Mrs. Eleanor Rae Green, Wilmington, and Mrs. Earl (Rosalie) Mercer, Franklin; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph, Zanesville, and a sister, Mrs. Esther Leach, Leesburg. He was predeceased by two sisters and four brothers. Mr. Storts was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in South Salem. Out of a family of ten children she is survived by Mrs. Jennie E. McBride of the home, Mrs. Fanny Spurgeon, Quaker City, OH, Mr. Henry Banks Parsons, Cleveland, OH, Mrs. Eva Magness, Coshocton, OH and by 17 grndchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Five of her grandchildren were in World War I. Harry Spurgeon, Lt. Fielding H. Magness, Lt. Alfted j Magness, J. W. Magness and Miss Roberta Parsons. Mrs. Parsons was born in Tullamore, Ireland, November 16, 1819 and came directly to Zanesville in 1835 and has resided here ever since. She married William Parsons in 1841. He preceded her in death 40 years ago. She was a member of First Congregational Church. Keplinger Mrs. Iris Mae Storts Keplinger, 56, 358 South st., died Thursday at 4 p.m. in Chillicothe Hospital. Born June 16, 1913 in South Salem, she was a daughter of Ira and Myrtle COKONOUGHER Storts. On June 3, 1933, she married Virgil Keplinger, who survives. Mrs. Keplinger operated a Certified Public Accountant office at her home, and was also an insurance agent. She organized the Camp Fire Girls here in 1962, and was very active in the organization. She graduated from Zanesville High school in 1930, and was a graduate of Zanesville Business School. She was a member of First Presbyterian church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Charles Wayne Keplinger, of Cincinnati; two daughters, Iris Marie and Tonita Jan Keplinger, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Donald Leach, of Leesburg; two brothers, Ray Storts, of Lyndon, and Ralph Storts, of Zanesville, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Virgil Dean Keplinger, who died Feb. 12, 1968, a sister and four brothers. Last rites will be read Monday at 2 p.m. in the Murray funeral home with Rev. Clair S. Emerick officiating. Interment will be made in Greenfield Cemetery. Friends will be received at Murray's after 11 a.m., Sunday. In 1877 he married Alice Harper, who now lives in Chicago. He was a member of the Zanesville Presbyterian Chruch. In addition to his wife and sister, Mr. Parsons is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Norwood Shearer, Columbus, OH, Mrs Claude Baker and Mrs. Bernard Fay, both of Chicago, IL and two grandchildren. She was stricken by the dread malady while on a vist and for the past few days her recovry had been despaired of. The deceased was 46 years of age and spent her early life in Zanesville. After her marriage to Mr. Magness, a traveing salesman, the couple removed to Dresden, then to Plainfield and for the past 12 years the family have made their home on North Eighth Street, this city. Surviving, besides the husband and mother, are one sister and four children as follows: Fielding of New York, Alfred, Jay and Evelyn of the home. Wildman, 58, prominent 32 degree Mason who died early Friday morning will be held Sunday at 2:30 pm at the residence, 46 Lorena Dr., Fairlawn. Burial will be in Glendale cemetery. Mr. Whitman's death resulted from heart disease, following an illness of one week. He leaves his widow, Margaret, and three children, Margaret, Jack and William, all at home; a brother T. T. Wildman of Akron, and two sisters, Mrs. L. E. Larson of Akron and Mrs. H. E. Osborn of Chicago. Mr. Wildman was secretary and treasurer of the International Davit & Manufacturing Corp. at the time of his death. Prior to his connection with this company, he was president and general manager of the Portage Rubber Co at Barberton for many years. He was a native of Zanesville, OH.
