The Western Star
DEATH OF STEPHEN COLBERT.

Stephen Colbert died this morning at 2 o'clock, aged about 60 years. He had been
a great sufferer for years from asthma, and on many occasions death seemed to be
hovering so near that it was not expected by his family and friends that he
could possibly live from one hour to another. He was a tailor by trade, but for
serveral months his health was such that he could not work. He was a brother of
D. T. Colbert and leaves a wife and one son. The funeral has not been announced
yet.
