McKitrick listed the Lane Cemetery in Wesley Twp,, Washington Co. in his Cemetery Inscriptions of Washington Co, Ohio. There was no known reading. His directions were incorrect but I was able to locate the site of the cemetery on property that belonged to the Lane family according to the 1875 D.J. Lake Atlas of Washington Co.. This family plot was bulldozed by the current owner, a pig farmer, about 1990. The stones were pushed into a ravine and are now completely buried. My great great great grandfather John Lane, came to Washington Co. in 1806 and purchased the farm in Wesley Twp. not long after. I would have loved to have been able to read the stones and pass on the information for this very exciting and worthwhile project. Sincerely, Julie Stanbery Gibson Kant jgkant+@pitt.edu
