Marietta Register Pg 3, Col 2, Thursday March 6, 1873 March 6, 1873
Col. John Mills, one of our oldest citizens, received a severe hurt by a fall 
on the slippery pavement, in front of the Register Office, on Thursday morning 
last.  He was assisted into Dana & Ward's store, where an examination 
demonstrated that his right shoulder was dislocated.  He was taken home, and 
medical assistance rendered by Drs. McClure and Cotton.
