Sandusky Daily Register, 10/7/1909, p3 c4, Ohio Soldiers' Home Column
Mordecai Amos died in ward A of the hospital Monday morning.  His Civil war 
service was in Company B, 18th Ohio infantry.  He met and talked cheerfully 
with Commandant Burnet; the afternoon before his death and said nothing to 
indicate that he was not feeling usually well.  Funeral held Tuesday.

Additional Comments:
Former resident of Washington Co., OH.  He was married to Hannah Smith Sayres 
Amos when he died.
