Huntington's Battery, was brought home on last (Wednesday) night, by his father, Mr. Newton Bishop, of this vicinity. The deceased was wounded in the heel at the battle of Chancellorsville, the injury not being considered dangerous. The wound, however, became so much inflamed that amputation below the knee was decided on and performed. The inflammation continued, until the fastenings were severed, and the unfortunate man died from the hemorhage which ensued. He will be buried from the Unitarian Church, in this place, at 1 P.M. on Friday, the 19th inst. (This obituary doesn't really give the actual date of death. After checking he is buried in Mound Cemetery and the tombstone shows 1863.) Additional Comments: For informational purposes only. I have no further information on this family.
