Mr. Christopher Greene one of the oldest and best known citizens of Newport 
died Thursday night.  He has passed his 88th birthday and had spent his entire 
life in the township where he died.  For some years he had been blind and 
almost entirely helpless.  A wife and five children, all of whom were present 
at the funeral, survive him.  He was buried from his late residence Saturday 
afternoon.
