Obituary:
Thomas Jefferson Reed was born in Muskingum County, Ohio August 18, 1849, and 
departed this life on March 14, 1933 at the age of 84 years, four months, and 
six days.  At the age of two years he moved with his parents to Washington 
County, Ohio.  There he grew to manhood and on January 21 he was united in 
marriage to Miss Marth E. Smith.  To union were born seven children, four of 
whom are living.  Mr. Reed moved to Howell County 22 years ago.  Mrs. Reed 
departed this life 14 years ago.

The deceased had made many friends and was well liked by all who knew him.  He 
is survived by three daughters, Zella Wilson of Simla, Colo.;  Anna Hannagan 
of Kuger, Okla.; and Eva Keeler of near Trask;  one son, Daniel Torpy Reed of 
Trask; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
Thomas Jefferson Reed is the son of Burr Reed and Mariby Hammond.  Burr and 
Mariby are buried in Tunnel Cemetery.  At least one infant of Thomas and 
Martha is buried there also.  Thomas and Martha are both buried in Walker 
Chapel Cemetery, Howell Co., MO.  The above obituary is a little misleading.  
Thomas and brother William both left Washington Co., OH at the land rush in 
Oklahoma.  Both had homesteads in Canadian Co., OK.  That is the place where 
his son Warner Reed died and is buried in El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, OK.  
Thomas left OK and eventually settles in MO.  William Reed lives until the end 
of his life in Canadian Co., OK.  Marriage date for Thomas and Martha is 
January 21, 1875, Washington Co., OH (probably Warren Twp. as that is where 
the family lived).
