VI, no. 186, pg 1 Burr Reed Burr Reed, an aged resident of Warren Township, died at his home near Tunnel about noon Saturday. Mr. Reed had reached an advanced age, being 87 years old, and was very much weakened physically. The cause of his death was heart failure. The funeral will occur this afternoon at Tunnel Station. Additional Comments: The surname of this family has alternated between Reid and Reed. His wife was Mariby Hammond. He, his wife, and other family members are buried in Tunnel Cemetery, Warren Twp., Washington Co., OH. Children are: William, Evaline, James, Thomas Jefferson, Sarah, George W., John L., and Aurelius L. D. Sons William and Thomas Jefferson left Warren Twp. during the Oklahoma Land Rush. They both had homesteads there. William died in Oklahoma along with wife Mary A. Brabham Reed. Thomas J. moved his family to Missouri. George W. lived with Thomas Jefferson until his death and is buried in Walkers Chapel Cemetery along with Thomas J. and Martha E. Reed.
