His death was due to pneumonia. Mr Sampson was born in Watertown May 3, 1850, he was married April 28, 1874 his wife having died last September. He was a member of the United Brethern Church of Pleasant Grove. He is survived by three children: Myron and Clarence of Watertown and Mrs. J.E. Hendershot of Parkersburg, also 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He leaves two brothers, Peter and William Sampson of Waterford. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of his son Clarence Sampson in Watertown. Burial will be made in the Waterford Cemetery. Rev. J.B. Williamson of the Presbyterian Church of Beverly will conduct the service.
