Marietta--- Peter A. Sampson, 85 years old, died at his home in Watertown 
township at midnight Saturday following illness with infirmities.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Pleasant 
Grove United Brethern Church near Watertown, with burial in the cemetery 
nearby.

Mr. Sampson was a native of Washington County and was a retired farmer. 
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Rebecca Holliday-Sampson; two sons John Sampson 
of Waterford and Carl Sampson of Watertown, four daughters, Mrs. Lydia Henry, 
Mrs. Otheal Beebe, and Mrs. Martin Miller of Waterford, and Mrs. Orville 
Beebe of El Dorado, Ark. a brother William Sampson of Waterford, and a 
number of grandchildren
