Mrs. Mary Stratton died at the residence of Mrs. Kate L. Dye, where she had 
for some time made her home, at 8 o'clock Monday morning aged 86 years.  She 
had been almost helpless for a long while from the effects of a stroke of 
paralysis and the infirmities of age.  She was a native of New Hampshire, was 
the mother of Mrs. M. G. Knox, deceased, and of Mrs. Birdsall of California, 
and had been a resident of this State for a number of years.  Funeral services 
were held at the First Congregational church yesterday morning and interment 
was made in Oak Grove.
