Oh! thou wert loved by every one
By husband, children dear,
How sad, how desolate, how lone
Who now those hearts can cheer.
Those bright dark eyes are closed
In death's long dreamless sleep.
Thy smiles will beam on us no more,
Oh therefore we must weep.
