Beebe, 64, orchardist and farmer whose home was near Waterford, died Sunday at 5:45 p.m. in Memorial Hospital where he was admitted Friday. Mr. Beebe was born April 7, 1888 near Waterford, and was a son of Lucius and Ella Callihan Beebe. He spent his early life on the Beebe farm. He went to work in the Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana oil fields when a young man. He was a veteran of WW I and saw service overseas. After his discharge from the Army, he went to Kansas where he was employed in the oil fields. Following his marriage to Susie Sampson of Waterford, he returned to Waterford in 1922, when he purchased the Beebe homestead near Waterford, where he since made his home. Mr Beebe was a member of Russell Chadwick Post No. 389, American Legion, of Beverly. He was a musician, and had played in the Beverly Band and also organized and directed the Beebe Orchaestra. Survivors are his widow, Mrs Susie Sampson Beebe, and three sons, Glenn Beebe of Waterford; Kenneth Beebe of Mansfield, and Clyde Beebe of the family home. There are three grandchildren. Brothers and sisters are Orville Beebe of El Dorado, Kan.; Osmer Beebe of Kingsville, Texas and Mrs Alice Reynolds of Chillicothe. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery.
