Eileen, 1925 – 1999 Additional Comments: Waterford Cemetery Waterford Twp., Washington Co.(partial listing) Obit for Lyle Sampson Lyle Sampson, 51, of Waterford Rt. 1 died 5:15 p.m. Friday in his home following a short illness. He was born Nov. 20, 1930 in Watertown Township to Roberta Morey Sampson and the late Everett Sampson. He was employed by Interlake Steel Corporation. He was an Army veteran of WW II and a member of Waterford Grange No. 231, the Russell Chadwick Post 389 American Legion of Beverly and the local U.S.W. of America No 6856. He was married Dec. 27, 1945, to Eileen Parsons. He is survived by his wife; his mother; one daughter, Mrs. Dean ( Janet) Doebereinger of Waterford Rt. 1; two sons, Donald and Roger both of Waterford Rt. 1; two brothers Lloyd of Sciotoville, and Lovell of Beverly; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the McCurdy Funeral Home at Beverly with the Rev. Thomas Knauff officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today. Military services will be conducted at the gravesite. The Marietta Times Saturday Sept 17, 1983 pg 2 Waterford- Eileen Sampson, 73, of Waterford Rt. 1 died Saturday ( Jan 23, 1999 ) at Autumn Health Care Center in Beverly. She was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Palmer Township, to Lewis and Margaret Greathouse- Parsons. She was a homemaker. She graduated from Waterford High School. She was a 55 year memberof Waterford George 231 and was a member of Beverly Waterford Retirees Club. She attended Salem United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Doebereinger and her husband Dean, of Waterford; two sons, Donald Sampson and his friend Susan, of Waterford, and Roger Sampson and his wife Debbie of Waterford; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one brother , Branch Parsons and his wife, Alice, of McConnelsville. On Dec. 27, 1945 she married Lyle Sampson. He died 16 Sept 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Glen and Ralph Parsons. Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with the Rev. Gary Hogue officiating. Burial is in the Waterford Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
