Lehr, 91, formerly of Mansfield, died Sunday at Wesley Glen Retirement Ceneter, Columbus, following a long illness. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Finefrock Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert A. Baker, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Mansfield, officiating, and assisted by Dr. Blake Wagner of Main Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Wagner is a relative of the fanmily. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park, where the Joint Veterans Council will conduct military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7-9. He was born in Clinton in 1893 and lived in the Mansfield area most of his life. He established Lehr Awning Co., Mansfield, in 1932 and operated it until he retired in 1959. He was a World War I veteran, reacing the rank of staff sergeant. He had been a member of First United Methodist Church, Mansfield, since 1919. He was a member of McVey Post 16, a charter member of Kingwood Men's Garden Club and a member of Venus Masonic Lodge 152. He also was the last surviving member of the Constitution Chapter of S.A.R. in Richland County, and was well known in the area for his interest in roses and the study of genealogy. Surviving are nephews and nieces, including Grace Lehr of Shreve. His wife, Lucille Auten Lehr, died in 1977. Four brothers and five sisters also died previously.
