Guy Lehr, 79, Big Prairie

Big Prairie - Guy L. Lehr, 79, of Big Prairie died Tuesday evening at Wooster 
Hospital following a three-week illness.  He was born in Clinton Twp., Wayne 
County, Dec. 21, 1886, the son of Moses and Emily Walton Lehr.  He was a stone 
mason by trade.  He was a member of the Newkirk Methodist Churce and the 
Clinton Grange.  He was married Feb. 17, 1912 to Katharyn Dudte.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Gaylord (Evelyn) Akins and Mrs. 
Robert (Christine) Hites of Shreve and Mrs. Paul (Marian) Moorhead of Shreve 
Rd 1; two brothers, John of Akron and George of Mansfield; three sisters, Mrs. 
Troy Butler of Lakeville, Mrs. Maude Kopp of Ashland, and Mrs. Martha 
Esselburn of Richmond, Ind; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 
nieces and nephews.

His parents, a son, Bill (Dec. 24, 1963) a graddaughter, and a great-
granddaughter, two brothers, and two sisters died previously.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Johnston Funeral Home in Shreve with 
Rev. Arthur Sperry officiating.

Burial will be in Newkirk Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.
