Reproduction or re-presentation of copyrighted material will require the permission of the copyright owner. *************************************************************************** File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Cindy Taylor jetj@bright.net March 27, 1999 *************************************************************************** OBITUARY 1870-Lydia Elizabeth Fix-1927 Lydia Elizabeth Landel, daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Landel, was born near Edgerton, Ohio Dec. 25, 1870 and departed this life, April 29, 1927 at her home in Pioneer, Ohio aged 56 years, 4 months, and 4 days. Her entire life was spent in Williams county. On Dec. 30, 18?0 she was united in marriage to Nicholas John Fix. To this union was born one son, Arthur Nicholas, who lives near Pioneer. Mr. and Mrs. Fix lived near Edgerton until March 3, 1908 when they located near Pioneer where they lived until Feb. 25, 1916 when they moved to their present home. She has been in serious condition the past four months, but bore her suffering patiently and without complaint. She was confirmed in the German Lutheran church at Edgerton, during her childhood and remained a member until moving to Pioneer when she united with the United Brethren church and remained faithful to her Master until her death. She was always a faithful wife and loving mother, always ready to assist, the family and friends whenever she had the opportunity and was well liked by those who knew her. She leaves to mourn, a loving husband and son, four grandchildren, two brothers, a circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev. F. A. Sharp of Bryan, a former pastor, with burial in Floral Grove cemetery.
