In the year 1889 the family suffered the loss of the mother and Betty being the oldest child took the mother's place in caring for the family. She also cared for her aged father through many years of sickness until death claimed him in the year 1906. Betty was most loved by those who knew her best. She had been in declining health for a number of years. But in all her sickness she was a patient and submissive sufferer. Her life and its work have left a monument of faith patience and service for the home and community. Sister Fix was baptized and confirmed in youth. But two years ago had her membership transferred to the Church of God, where she served faithfully to the end. Despite the efforts and care of the family and friends death has claimed her. She has answered the Heavenly Father's call. There are left to mourn her departure, four sisters and one brother and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held from ? Church of God Tuesday at 2 p. m. Interment at Edgerton, Ohio.
