AREA DEATH
LOA CHANEY

HICKSVILLE- Mrs. Loa Chaney, 77, former route 1 Hicksville resident who lived 
with her daughter (Mrs. Mary Heffelfinger of Bryan) the last 17 years, died at 
6 p.m. Sunday in the Park View Nursing Home, Edgerton, Williams County, Ohio.
Loa was born Feb 23, 1896 in Defiance County to Ura and Emma (Miller) Morris, 
she was the widow of Elmer Chaney, who died in 1953.
She was a member of the West Milford Church of Christ.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Heffelfinger, four 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Final rites, with Rev. George Font officiating, will be conducted at 2 p.m. 
Wednesday from the Perkins & Reeb Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Six 
Corners Cemetery, Hicksville, Defiance County, Ohio.
Calling hours in the funeral home are after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
