Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. Aug 24, 1864, p. 3. DIED. On the 6th inst., Victor Newell, infant son of E.G. and M.A. Beckwith, aged 10 months and 17 days. Our sweet little infant, the pride and pet of the family has gone from our midst forever. The sunlight gave out with his young life. In vain will we listen for his young prattle; it is forever settled. The little Angel has gone to a happy spirit land, where the burds blossom and bloom into flowers, which never fade. Yes Like a flower in May he came, And lingered scarce to have a name; The bud just opening into day Grim death did pluck and take away - Our darling victor boy. Oh baby dear, in Paradise Among the angel band, Be though the beacon to our eyes, That we may reach thy land.
