Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. Mar 8, 1865, p. 3. Died. At the Military Hospital, Camp Chase, of Brain Fever, on Thursday evening, March 2, Julius E. Blinn, of Perrysburg, age 22 years. The deceased enlisted only a few weeks since, in the company of Capt. Charles Devous-which is we believe, to form a part of the 188th Regiment, now organizing at Camp Chase. He was taken sick Monday night, Feb. 26th, was taken to the Hospital the next day, and died as above stated. His brother, Richard Blinn, left here Tuesday night, 28th ult., and arrived at Camp Chase Wednesday noon, but the sick man was even then raving with delirium, and did not, in the least, recognize him. His remains were brought here Friday night, and on Sunday last were deposited in the Perrysburg Cemetery. The deceased was last summer in Capt. Cook's company, 144th O.N.G., and our acquaintance with him commenced at that time. And we believe we only speak the sentiment of both the officers and men of that company, when we say that as a soldier he was ever ready for any duty - a kind comrade, and faithful friend; and many beside his relatives, will grieve to learn of his early departure.
