Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. Dec 6, 1867, p. 3. DIED. In Perrysburg, on the 26th ult., of brain fever, Clara Margaret, youngest daughter of Jacob and Catharine Emch, aged 3 months and 25 days. White lids lying asleep over blue eyes, White hands lying in peace over her breast; A weary heart forever stilled in rest, Two pure lips lying close together prest, No more to part with sighs. Why weep we for her? From her peaceful brow Hath passed the shadow that once rested there; The gentle spirit feeleth now no care, And the young lips so full of love Hath found its rest - There. O, mother, cease thy sobs, for it is best Christ called so early to himself thy dove; He taketh her not, mother, from thy love; A little while, and ye shall meet above And dwell in endless rest.
