Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. Jul 1, 1863, p. 3. DIED. In Weston township, June 13, 1863, Mrs. Sarah A. Ervin, wife of John Ervin (a soldier of the 100th Regiment, O.V.I.) and daughter of Mr. Hugh Barton, of said township, in the 18th year of her age. Her sickness was lingering. She was aware that her death was approaching, and felt prepared to die. She often expressed herself as anxious to depart and be with Chris. She was a consistent member of the United Presbyterian Church, of Gilead. She possessed a meek and quiet disposition, amiable in all her relations of life. Death was so sweet to her she wondered that any could crave to live. Her husband, on furlough, arrived just in time to receive her affectionate counsel and adieu. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." J.D.
