DIED.

In Plain township, March 2, of typhoid fever, Mary A. Logan, aged 27 years; 
March 29, Sarah M. Mitchell, aged 16 years, 10 months, and 4 days - both 
daughters of Ann and Joseph Mitchell.

	My darling children, my loved ones,

	I'm gazing on them now;

	Their cheeks are pale, their bright eyes closed,

	And icy cold their brow.

	Their dimpled hands are folded o'er

	Their pure and soulless breast;

	Like some fair rosebud crushed at morn, 

	They now have found their rest.



	They sleep in peace, but oh, my heart

	Is filled with anguish sore -

	For I know on earth my children

	Will waken nevermore.

	Alas! alas! no more I'll clasp

	Each hand in mine to bless;

	At twilight dim, as tired of toil,

	They sink to peaceful rest.



	No more I'll hear their parting voice,

	Nor feel their soft arms twine

	Around my neck in soft embrace-

	Such joys no more are mine.

	But Oh, my Savior, at thy feet

	I lay my burden down;

	Help me to meekly bow and say

	Thy will, not mine, be done.
