Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio. May 8, 1868, p. 3. DIED. At Perrysburg, March 26, of Pulmonary Consumption, John Loper, aged 37 years. The deceased was born at Seneca Falls, in the State of New York. When quite a young man, he went to California, and resided in Mariposa County, in that State, for upwards of nine years. Whilst there he received an injury from the kick of a mule, which culminated in consumption and death. About four years since he returned North for the benefit of his health. His mother, Mrs. Hatch, being a resident of this place he located here, and by his courteous deportment and obliging manners, won the respect and esteem of our citizens at large. The advance of disease was by a slow and steady progress. Every hopeful he battled bravely with the insidious foe, but when the time appointed came he passed away expressing a confident hope of life eternal through the merits of the Saviour.
