Although he had been ill for five years, he had only become seriously so recently and had been bedfast for five weeks. His death was due to his advanced age and a complication of diseases. funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter Josie Picard, at No. 425 East Wooster Street. Rev. A. S. Bierly will officiate and burial will be made in Oak Grove Cemetery. William Van Buskirk was born on the first day of the year, 1852 in Seneca County to John and Liza Van Buskirk. When a youth he came to Bowling Green with his parents and had lived here all the rest of his life. When younger he farmed in and around the city. On October 16, 1874 he was united in marriage with Martha Beaupry. Six children were born to this union, two daughter and a son preceeding their father to death. Their mother also died twelve years ago. Mr Van Buskirk had a wide circle of friends among the older residents of Bowling Green. He was a good and kind man and was very well liked by all of the many people who knew him. he is survived by three children; Mrs Josie Picard and Mrs Louella Fairchild, both of Bowling Green, and Willie Van Buskirk, of Cleveland; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves a brother and two sisters, Charles Van Buskirk and Mrs Lyza Stillwell, both of Toledo, and Mrs Ella Wolf, who lives in Indiana.
